Merry Christmas!

Life has been very busy lately, partly due to the Christmas season so forgive me for not posting very often. Damon is doing great! His last appointment with Dr Tong was the beginning of December and he got to stop taking his lasix and his xray looked good. He doesn't have to go back until March. He is growing and getting more mature every day. He is turning more into a little boy and not so much a toddler, which is bitter sweet for mama!

We are still looking forward to whatever may be in store for him with the Make-A-Wish foundation and I'll keep you posted on any updates we get. We want to wish you a Merry Christmas! We are grateful every day for Jesus and his sacrifice for us. We celebrate his birth with full hearts this year. Happy New Year to you all as well! May it bring good health, and lots of happiness.

Lastly, around the time we were in StL for Damon's last surgery I received a comment here from a woman named Heather. She was pregnant with baby Parker, who was going to be born with HLHS like Damon. Heather and her husband Adam are from Neosho, a city not far from Carl Junction where we live. Heather and I texted back and forth and them the week before Christmas Damon and I met her and Adam. They were so nice and I just could remember every feeling they were having like it was happening all over again. They left for STL on the 17th with plans to have Parker by c-section on the 22nd. Heather went into labor before that and delivered him sometime that weekend, I'm not sure of the date.

Parker's atrial septum was already starting to close before he was born so that was going to be an issue that needed to be addressed immediately after he was born. a few days after he was born she texted me and said that he was doing well. Yesterday she texted me a picture of him and I could tell he hadn't had his surgery yet so I asked her if they knew when it would be and she said his lungs were filling up with fluid and the drs had told them to prepare to say goodby. Please pray very hard for this sweet family for God to come through with a miracle for baby Parker.
